Quando si parte per una vacanza al mare una delle cose a cui prestare attenzione è senza dubbio come proteggere i propri bimbi dal sole. Si sa, i bambini sono imprevedibili, si annoiano facilmente e vedono nella spiaggia il loro personale parco giochi dove tutto (o quasi) è permesso, giocando ininterrottamente dalla mattina alla sera. Il sole estivo però può essere davvero pericoloso: scottature, colpi di calore e disidratazione sono i peggiori nemici di una tranquilla giornata di vacanza e vanno evitati il più possibile. Per fare questo abbiamo raccolto alcune semplici regole – potremo dire le “regole della nonna” – per aiutarvi a proteggere i vostri bambini dagli effetti nocivi del sole, in modo da potervi godere in massima sicurezza le vostre vacanze al mare senza pensieri!
Esporli gradualmente al sole
Un vecchio detto recita: “chi va piano va sano e lontano” e anche per quanto riguarda la protezione dei vostri bimbi dal sole vale questa regola d’oro. Se siete appena arrivati a Bellaria e questo sarà il primo giorno di mare per la vostra famiglia, partite con calma! Esponete i vostri piccoli al sole in modo graduale facendo abituare la pelle pian piano ai raggi solari. Lo stesso discorso vale se avete delle carnagioni particolarmente chiare: queste saranno più sensibili e più propense alle scottature, quindi metteteci ancora più attenzione!
Crema solare: mai senza!
Il rimedio più efficace contro le scottature è senza ombra di dubbio la crema solare. La crema non può mai mancare nella vostra borsa da spiaggia e va usata a prescindere che il cielo sia limpido, ci sia foschia o pensiate di stare tutto il giorno sotto l’ombrellone.
Tra le tante opzioni in commercio noi vi consigliamo di scegliere una crema con SPF 50+, resistente all’acqua – in modo da non doverla rimettere ogni volta che voi o i vostri bimbi si faranno un bagno, da applicare almeno 20-30 minuti prima di uscire di casa.
Purtroppo l’azione della crema solare tende ad attenuarsi nel tempo, perciò è buona norma riapplicarla spesso, ogni due ore circa. Non tralasciate niente mi raccomando: orecchie, naso, nuca e piedi sono spesso tralasciati e puntualmente colpiti da fastidiose scottature!
Se i vostri bambini non vogliono farsi spalmare la crema, trasformate questa operazione in un gioco: fate finta che sia una pozione magica che li trasforma in supereroi capaci di respingere i raggi del sole! Vedrete che riuscirete a convincerli!

Occhio all’orologio: evitate le ore più calde
I raggi del sole sono più intensi e pericolosi durante le ore più calde della giornata – dalle 12:00 alle 16:00.
In queste ore sarebbe preferibile evitare l’esposizione al sole o quanto meno proteggersi in maniera adeguata. Potreste organizzare la giornata in modo da sfruttare la mattinata per far giocare i vostri bambini e fare dei bagnetti e poi verso le 11:30 fare una bella pausa pranzo con un riposino, tornando in spiaggia nel pomeriggio.
Ricordatevi sempre che il sole può bruciare anche sotto l’ombrellone quindi se decidete per stare in spiaggia anche durante le ore più calde siate prudenti e proteggetevi con la crema.
Vestiti giusti per proteggere la pelle
La protezione dal sole passa anche per la scelta dell’abbigliamento giusto. Se è vero che in spiaggia si sta in costume da bagno nelle ore più calde e pericolose della giornata sarebbe bene fare indossare ai vostri bambini degli indumenti di cotone con le maniche lunghe e dotate di protezione dai raggi UV – traspiranti in modo da non sentire troppo caldo. Un altro accessorio che non può mancare è il cappellino – magari a tese larghe per proteggere anche viso e collo e gli occhiali da sole. Un piccolo consiglio? Scegliete cappelli con laccetti o elastici regolabili, così non voleranno via alla prima folata di vento!

L’ombra è la vostra migliore alleata
Cercate sempre di avere a disposizione un cono d’ombra dove ripararvi e trovare un pò do refrigerio. Che abbiate scelto uno stabilimento o una spiaggia libera assicuratevi di avere un ombrellone o una tenda a disposizione per creare un riparo per i vostri bambini.
Tuttavia state attenti: la sola ombra non è sufficiente a proteggere la vostra pelle. Circa l’80% dei raggi UV viene riflesso da acqua e sabbia, quindi l’uso delle creme solari e degli indumenti protettivi è fondamentale anche se si sta all’ombra.
Potreste approfittare di questi momenti di refrigerio per una pausa con una merenda fresca, un libro di favole, un gioco da tavolo in famiglia o un riposino con la brezza del mare sul viso!

Acqua, acqua e ancora acqua!
Un altro suggerimento semplice e forse banale ma indispensabile: in spiaggia fate bere tanta acqua ai vostri bambini anche se loro vi dicono di non aver sete! Bere spesso eviterà che i vostri bimbi si disidratino e abbasserà la temperatura corporea evitando i colpi di calore.
Evitate le bibite zuccherate o gassate che aumentano la sensazione di calore, meglio acqua naturale o succhi di frutta senza zuccheri aggiunti. Un trucco utile? Portate in spiaggia borracce colorate con i loro personaggi preferiti, così bere diventerà un gioco! In più, per integrare i liquidi, potete offrire ai bambini della frutta fresca come merenda: anguria e melone sono perfetti per rinfrescarsi!
Il sole riflesso è un’insidia nascosta
Lo abbiamo già accennato in precedenza, l’ombra non basta a proteggerci in quanto i raggi solari si riflettono sull’acqua e sulla spiaggia. L’uso della crema è quindi sempre fondamentale, così come cappellino e occhiali da sole – soprattutto quando i bambini si trovano sul bagnasciuga.
Se i vostri piccoli sono amanti dell’acqua ( e quale bambino non lo è!!) e non riescono a stare lontani dal mare, optate per una protezione solare resistente all’acqua per garantire una protezione duratura anche tra un tuffo e l’altro.

Dopo il sole: coccole e idratazione
Dopo una giornata di giochi e bagni, la pelle dei bambini ha bisogno di cure speciali. Una doccia fresca per eliminare sale e sabbia è fondamentale, seguita da un buon doposole idratante, meglio se a base di aloe vera o camomilla per lenire eventuali rossori e mantenere la pelle morbida. Anche questo momento può diventare divertente: fate finta che sia un trattamento di bellezza o un massaggio rilassante, così che i piccoli lo accolgano con entusiasmo!
